Everyone experiences anxiety; in fact, some anxiety is good for us. However, when anxiety begins to impact areas of your life, therapy can help.

Depression
It’s not always easy to admit that you’re struggling with depression.
You may be wondering, how do I know if I have depression or just feeling down?
Depression looks different for everyone. Here are some signs that you may be struggling with depression:
You find yourself getting irritable a lot or easily
You have sleep difficulties. You either sleep too much or can’t sleep at all
Getting out of bed is difficult for you
You feel unmotivated
Things you once enjoyed do not seem to give you joy anymore
You have suicidal thoughts or think life would be easier if you weren’t here
You find that you have no appetite or maybe you’re eating more than you used to
You feel guilty for no reason or think that you’re a failure
Together, we will work to identify immediate safety concerns, and create a safety plan as needed. I will work with you in a safe space to identify some of the sources of your depression. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches, we will identify and process negative thinking patterns that may be contributing to your mood. I will work with you to challenge those thoughts and together process new ways of thinking. Often times, I'll work with you on building skills and learning new ways to cope with difficult challenges.
Group Therapy for Teen Girls
Being a teenager comes with its unique sets of challenges.
In this SIX week group therapy, your teen will be immersed in a safe + supportive environment to help your teen create community, find support. Group will focus on self-esteem, body image issues, boundaries, self-doubt, healthy relationships, confidence and communication, while learning healthy coping strategies for anxiety, and overwhelm.
Group will be led utilizing evidence based CBT and DBT strategies to help your teen process and manage the challenges that teens face today.
Group will run for SIX weeks Ages: 13-18 In Person for 90 minutes Location: Richardson, Tx Cost: $45 per session Insurance accepted are BCBS, United Health Care, and Cigna PPO. Space is limited to 6-8 girls.
How it works
consultation
During our initial consultation, we will explore what your reasons and goals are for therapy. We will explore my therapeutic approach and alignment of right fit. After consultation call, you will be sent documents in a HIPAA secure platform to complete intake questionnaires.
Intake Session
During the intake session; together we will explore your mental health history, presenting challenges, explore your strengths and develop a treatment plan.
Reflect, Adjust, and Progress
During each session, I will assess for mental health needs, and assess for safety. We’ll explore and process your thoughts and emotions and work on therapeutic interventions that supports your goals for therapy.

I accept Commercial plans for Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Cigna. I do not accept (EAP) Employmee Assistance Programs at this time.
In some cases you may be eligible to use out-of-network insurance benefits. I will provide you with a super-bill that you can provide to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.
I require 24 hour notice for all cancellations. I send out courtesy emails and text reminders to reduce no shows and late cancellations. No shows and late cancellation fees will be applied to your account. This is because when you no show or late cancel, it takes away the time from clients who may have wanted to be seen in a slot that was reserved for you.
A diagnostic assessment (initial session) is $150/hour and each individual session is 130/hour.
A diagnostic assessment (initial session)for couples is $175/hour and each session after is $150.00.
Yes. Therapy sessions are confidential under HIPPA. However, there are limits to confidentiality. We will explore this in our initial consultation and initial session.
Yes, when appropriate. I give homework more often than not. Progress in therapy is often occur outside the therapy session. I find that clients who are engaging in homework exercises outside of the therapy room tend to progress in their therapeutic goals.
therapy is most effective when sessions are consistent. Consistency provides you accountability and improves chances for follow through outside of sessions.
With time and progression, the frequency of sessions will decrease.
I provide tele-health sessions via a HIPAA secure platform. In person sessions will be offered in the near future.
